Strand Management Solutions, Inc. provides Section 508 Certification and Section 508 Remediation services.

Section 508 Certification verifies that your Web or Windows application is fully accessible for people who are blind or visually impaired. We offer either functional certification to verify that a particular set of system functions are accessible or complete certification that verifies that all application functions are accessible. We perform live usability testing where blind users test the systems with the requisite adaptive aids. They work with your system documentation to verify its accuracy and usefulness. Sighted users are employed to work in conjunction with blind users to ensure that each of the visual elements or controls have an accessible counterpart.

For Web sites and Windows applications that are not fully accessible we offer Section 508 Remediation services to make your software accessible.

We partner with Flying Blind, LLC to address the real-world accessibility issues of your applications. Larry L. Lewis, CEO of Flying Blind helps us team with highly skilled computer users trained in accessibility. Larry, congenitally blind, has over fifteen years of practical experience serving the Adaptive Technology Industry in a variety of capacities which include domestic and international product management and sales management roles with companies that have rich histories in developing speech and Braille solutions for the Adaptive Technology Industry.
